Standard for operating at COVID-19 Alert Level 2 - version 2 18th May

NZ is currently at Alert Level 2, most adventure activities will be able to operate. 

Operators must use a planned and documented approach to managing the COVID-19 risk. The plan must be specific to your operation and is for you, your workers, and other people who need to know about it. It must be in place before you open for operation. You do not need to send your COVID-19 safety plan to WorkSafe for review, but it must be made available upon request of a WorkSafe Inspector.

TIA has worked with WorkSafe, MBIE and operators to develop this standard outlining minimum requirements for the development of your safety plan. Although it is titled as tourism activities, it is relevant for activities operated by commercial recreation providers. 

We will update this standard if any minimum requirements change. Please ensure you are using the current version.

Ministry of Health have updated their requirements for using PPE  and the requirement for a 2 hour time limit on indoor activities is no longer the case.  We have updated the guidance document to Version 2:
